As we move further into the 21st Century, the global challenges we face require a new type of leader to meet and navigate them. It was Einstein who said that we cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them. Leaders today deal with unprecedented levels of complexity, globalisation, pace and change, whilst simultaneously facing exciting opportunities for innovation and collaboration with the competition. For this kind of unchartered territory, the best version of leadership that is emerging is the conscious leader, since conscious leaders have deeper self-awareness and higher levels of consciousness to survey the challenges that are beyond the limits of our previous experience.
Conscious Leadership includes a high level of self-mastery, particular ways of relating to others and the capacity to stand for and act for the benefit of the greater system or whole of which we all form part. It involves putting some distance between ourselves and our ego, which helps us to have greater choice of response. It entails the development of multiple sources of intelligence or consciousness, such as emotional, spiritual and systems intelligence. It fuels greater collaboration, partnership and innovation, works with the field of possibility to create results, and fuels the stakeholder-driven, value-creation models of business and organisations that are emerging today.

The activities you can expect:
Developing as a conscious leader is an ongoing transformation, but this one-day course will explore with you some of the leading edge thinking on the qualities, behaviours and practices of the conscious leader. We will discuss the landscape of Conscious Leadership and engage in experiential exercises, discussions, reflections and commitments that will develop your capacity as a conscious leader. This course forms a good introduction to our year long Executive Programme that develops your being a conscious leader to greater levels of depth.

- Knowledge about what it means to be a conscious leader through exploring a map of Conscious Leadership
- Deeper inquiries into your self, ego, your purpose and values – your roots as a conscious leader – that helps you to shift who you are being as a leader
- The conscious leader’s approach to relationships, for example through compassion and collaborative partnership
- The ways of taking a global view and how to be responsible within and for the system
- Meaningful conversations with others on the journey of Conscious Leadership
